437 Babies on Board: Wolf spider
August 9th, 2006I'm on vacation in West Virginia right now, but through the magic of computing I set this photo to appear today:
Wolf spider mommies really tote the kids around.
I've seen plenty of wolf spiders dragging a round white egg case around, but I'd never considered what happened next. Apparantly, momma totes them around until they're big enough to hunt on their own. Very cool.
