437 Babies on Board: Wolf spider
I'm on vacation in West Virginia right now, but through the magic of computing I set this photo to appear today:
Wolf spider mommies really tote the kids around.
I've seen plenty of wolf spiders dragging a round white egg case around, but I'd never considered what happened next. Apparantly, momma totes them around until they're big enough to hunt on their own. Very cool.

Shawn Anthony says:
That is amazing. Nature has an incredible way about itself. I have to admit, however, spiders are not my favorite feature ...
Tim McCormack says:
I enjoy playing with spiders. I've only been bitten a few times (that I know of) -- it was more itchy than painful.
