Be warned that I may remove or edit any comments that exhibit the following characteristics:
- Excessive or unecessary use of profanity.
- Profanity has a time and a place, and must be used appropriately if it is to remain effective. Often, however, it is used out of laziness, though a more powerful message could be crafted through more careful wording. I do not intend to blindly censor on the basis of profanity, but I am aware that readers may be viewing this blog in mixed society, where profanity is not acceptable.
- Unwarranted rudeness or personal attacks.
- People get mad easily on the internet. I understand that. But this is my bog. And you should understand that.
- Wildly off-topic conversations.
- The comment area is designed to promote discussion and feedback regarding the topic presented in the blog post or page, and is not a general-purpose forum or author contact form. Even when the topic of a discussion drifts, it is still within a back-and-forth format. However, broaching an entirely new subject interrupts the flow of communication and is somewhat rude to myself and your fellow discussants. This includes:
- Typo or grammar corrections
- Unrelated messages to the author or other discussants
- Questions about why your comment did not appear
