Summer 2009: Travel

Here's some of the travel I've done and will be doing this summer:

This past weekend my girlfriend and I went on a bike-and-train trip up to New Hampshire where we stayed overnight at a friend's farm. I saw my first pink ladyslipper orchid, caught tadpoles, and watched chickens do ridiculous chicken things.

Next weekend I'll meet her in Princeton, NJ to visit her parents. I haven't seen them since (I think) Thanksgiving 2007. Perhaps I'll get to see the Institute for Advanced Study.

My dad is on a grant for ethnobotanical research on San Salvador Island in the Bahamas. He'll be making another trip down there in late June, and I'll be going with him as a field assistant. It will be my first time out of the country!
